This is the Vuescan Newsgroup - Right?

Why does this newsgroup show up as "alt.comp.periphs.scanners" through
giganews (Comcast's news server provider) and as
"alt.comp.periphs.scanners.vuescan" through UUnet (MCI).

It might explain why so many posts here are unrelated to Vuescan (and should
be posted to "alt.comp.periphs.scanner" that's singular "scanner" not plural
"scanners")

Just Curious,
Mark

It also shows up in Google Groups as "alt.comp.periphs.scanners.vuescan" but
with only a fractrion of the actual postings. I wonder if the name has been
changed recently ?

On a side note, what leads you to believe that Comcast (netnews.comcast.net)
gets their news from Giganews (news-central.giganews.com)? I use both -
there's a remarkable difference between the two, but then I'm with the part
of Comcast that was formerly AT&T Broadband not the "original" Comcast.
