TWAIN Container Types

I have a TWAIN technical question. I am writing software that
communicates with image scanners and discovered that the bit depth and
pixel type capabilities can be "one value" or "enumeration" container
types. Is it common that a scanner uses only one of these container
types? Or does it vary depending on the scan settings selected by the
user?

Thanks,
Mike

Have you been to http://twain.org?

Some of those questions can be answered in their technical section.
Check the TWAIN developers tool kit.
