Can you share a scanner on a network?

I just bought a flatbed scanner and connected it to my Windows XP
computer, and am having a heck of a time getting it to work with my
other computer on the network.

Any ideas?

99.9% of scanners are not networkable devices. There are such things as
networkable scanners... Epson make some nice ones, they start at around
$3,000.

There was a link posted recently for some software that would make a scanner
networkable... the client software is free, the server software is not.
